      Hello,
      I will come to Sri Lanka and I specially want to go to Unawatuna Bay: I will be there from the 26th December to 4 January, is it a good time for kite surf. I have 2 kites, which one is the best one 12m2 or 16m2. Thank you for your advise.

Sri lanka has recently
been discovered as an
ideal kitesurfing destination
with its solid trade winds,
warm waters and wide sandy
beaches. The best time for kite-
surfing is from May to October and
from December to March. During the
summer months, the strong southwest
monsoon winds are blowing and produce
a good wind swell along the west coast and
wind stability is extremely high. In the winter
months the sea clears up, gets calmer and the winds become lighter as they blow from the northeast.
