The Unawatuna Beach Resort is ideally located in the Unawatuna Bay. It has a welcoming and friendly staff. The rooms are good sized and clean, and the laundry service is of a very good standard.
The hotel offers the biggest buffet in the area as well as a la carte; and as a vegetarian I am very well catered for.
The UBR has an attractive pool area, including a small shallow infant pool and a pool bar.
Definitely a nice place to stay. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, and guests consist of a mixture of individual travellers, small groups, families and couples.
I highly recommend a stay at UBR,- I will go back as soon as I can.

My wife and I have been visiting and staying at the UBR for a number of years - we treat the hotel as our second home as the staff there are so warm and friendly and the unformality of daily life in the hotel is what makes for a special memorable and beautiful holiday. It is always a hard wrench to leave at the end of every holiday we have had at the UBR, even while flying back to the UK we are always thinking of when we will be back again in Sri Lanka and most of all spending time at the UBR.
