Stardust Beach
The exotic Stardust Beach Hotel is definitely the best place to stay in Arugam Bay. In terms of comfort, cleanliness, food and overall service, it tops everything else. Perched at the end of Arugam Bay between the lagoon and the Indian Ocean the Stardust is located directly on the beach overlooking the entire bay area.

The Stardust has 4 types of rooms including Single Room Beach Cabanas, Double Room Beach Cabanas, Family Beach Cabanas and Deluxe Rooms. All rooms are simply furnished with comfortable beds, mosquito nets and overhead fans and have a private terrace or balcony with a sea or garden view.
Cuisine
The food at Stardust can only be described as exceptional. The simple menu offers Sri Lankan and international food prepared using the freshest of produce from the local market and seafood brought right to your doorstep by local fishermen. The Stardust is famous for its homemade ice creams and cakes and also boasts a selection of wine and chilled beer.

Activities
Arugam Bay is considered to be one of the top ten surf destinations in the world. The surfing season begins in May and goes on till November. There is a beach break right in front of the Stardust Hotel that is good for body surfing and beginners and there are 3 excellent point breaks close by (The Point, Pottuvil Point, and Crocodile Rock). Bicycles and canoes are available for those interested in exploring the nearby lagoon area’s natural wilderness that is home to monitor lizards, birds, and monkeys. The hotel is also located close to Yala and Lahugala National Parks where you will find elephants, leopard, crocodile, wild boar, water buffalo, spotted deer, sambar, sloth bear, jackal, mongoose, pangolins and grey langurs amongst other large animals. Definitely worth a visit!
