The Den

The Den, Bentota

The Den is a delightful guest house that sits right on the banks of the Bentota River. From the pier, you have an unhindered view of the Indian Ocean which is only a 5 minute boat ride away.

Accommodation

The Den has 4 double rooms and one family bungalow. The rooms are comfortable set out with air-conditioning and hot water and opens directly onto the garden and the picturesque waterfront. The family bungalow has 2 double rooms, lounge, dining room and kitchen and you have the option of cooking your own meals if you wish.

The in-house chef can prepare a variety of delicious seafood dishes and you can order lobster, crab, prawns, squid and fish prepared in whichever way you like. The menu also includes a selection of Eastern or Western meals, snacks and drinks. The garden is the best place to enjoy your meals where coconut palms create a shaded canopy under which tables are laid and meals are served.

Activities

The Den is the ideal location for spending your water skiing and wakeboarding holiday, as experienced and talented instructors are eager to teach you to water ski and wakeboard. The senior instructor is the Sri Lankan waterskiing champion, a definite plus point when it comes to learning from the best. If you need a fun break you can go on banana boat and tube rides as well as jet skis and if you want to relax,
boats are available at any time for river fishing, boat trips and to transport you to and from the beach.

      mmm! been to the den, had LOADS of fun! even tried barefootin’ after over 20 yrs! didn’t manage, but the day was SUPER! i cn recommend it 4 sure!
